Bakery

We carry a variety of fresh baked goods from local bakeries. The bakers that supply us are Tellico Grains, Wild Mountain Rose, The Bakery Lady and Kelliegh’s Kitchen.  Each baker has a unique product and style.   Fresh bakery goods are weekly, see below for each bakery’s schedule.

Kelliegh’s Kitchen, based in Knoxville, makes the best blueberry muffins this side of the Mississippi. Kelliegh also makes amazing banana bread and pumpkin spice bread, as well as a variety of cookies.   Click here to learn more.

The Bakery Lady, based in Seymour, is the area’s premier provider of homemade sliced breads. The southern sourdough makes a grilled cheese that is to die for. The other varieties include honey wheat, 8 grain, Russian black bread, and cinnamon apple. The Bakery Lady also makes a decadent crème horn, that customers purchase a dozen at a time so come early before they are all gone. Visit their website at www.thebakerylady.com.

Wild Mountain Rose is one of our artisan bakers. The bakery itself is small and quaint, nestled in the hills of the Great Smokey Mountains. All her breads are baked in a homemade wood fired brick oven. The rustic bread is a fan favorite, but she also offers French, southern sourdough, rye, sunflower and cinnamon cranberry. In addition to her breads she makes brownie mix, muffins, cookies and scones. Visit their website at www.wildrosetn.com.

Tellico Grains is another artisan baker. They have refurbished an old building in the heart of old downtown Tellico plains. As soon as you walk through their door you are welcomed by the aroma of fresh baked breads and ground Vienna coffee. They bake a variety of beautiful breads which include French, sourdough, deli rye and Italian. They also make cheese cake brownies, granola, cranberry orange bread, and a delicious butter rum cake. Sister Heart Sweets, based in Maryville, joined the local artisan bakers being featured at The Market in early 2011.  Jamey Blair is the head sweetheart sister and LOVES what she does and you can see it all over her face when you talk with her.   Obviously, she focuses on sweets such as cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc.  Jamey recommends eating dessert first!  To learn more visit their website at http://sisterheartsweets.webs.com
